Using an IdentityFile (no UserName & PassWord)

Feb 5, 2009 at 12:27 PM
Hi all,

I want to use an identityfile to authenticate to the winsshdserver.
However, i don't really know where to begin.

What i did so far:

Generated a keypair with the keypairmanager og tunnelier and exported both the public & private key with openSSH
I added the Private key to the hostkeys on WinSSHD Configuration and employed the host key
I then set the public key in the acount settings of my windows account (in WinSSHD Configuration) to be the generated public key
I've set "Password authentication" to disabled
And " Public Key authentication" to required

In the BizTalk SFTP Adapater i configure the Identityfile property to the genereated public key file.

What am I missing or doing wrong here?

Kind regards

The public key should get deploy to the server and bound to the user. The private key is the one referenced by BizTalk (the client).

Okay i got the adapter working with the identity file
but i can't use the identityfile without specifieing a username. I don't want to use a username however,
i just want biztalk to be able to connect to the sshd server with only the identity file.

Any ideas?

The private/public key infrastructure of ssh, does not allow you to do so (at least to my knowledge). The identity file is always bound to a user.
